SILKY FOX Bigboy Folding Saw
360-10 / 360-7 / 360-13code: SKBIGBOY
The Silky Bigboy Folding Saw is a multi-purpose, long-reach folding saw designed for professional arborists, gardeners, and outdoor enthusiasts. With its extra-long 360mm precision-ground blade, this saw delivers exceptional cutting power and efficiency, making it ideal for pruning large branches, garden maintenance, and even forestry tasks.
Equipped with Silky's proprietary Mirai-Me tooth technology, the razor-sharp teeth are designed to provide fast, smooth, and splinter-free cuts. The four cutting angles along the length of the blade ensure minimal resistance and reduced effort, even on dense or hardwood. The blade is taper-ground with an impulse-hardened, non-set tooth design, giving it extended working reach and superior cutting performance.
The ergonomic, two-handed cushioned rubber handle provides a secure, comfortable grip, allowing for better control and reduced vibrations. This makes it easier to handle large limbs and even small tree trunks with minimal effort.
Blade Options for Versatility
The Bigboy folding saw is available in three teeth configurations, with colour-coded handles for easy identification:
-
Red Handle (Large Teeth - 7 TPI): Designed for pruning green wood with fast, aggressive cuts.
-
Black Handle (Medium Teeth - 10 TPI): Ideal for general-purpose pruning on softwood.
-
Blue Handle (Fine Teeth - 13 TPI): Best for precision cuts on hardwood, bamboo, and dry timber.
For those needing even more cutting power, the Bigboy 2000 is available with an extra-large curved blade for increased cutting efficiency and improved reach.
The Bigboy is a maintenance-free saw with replaceable blades, making it a long-lasting investment. Changing the blade is quick and easy with just one screw to unwind.

| Applications | Silky Saws are traditional Japanese pruning saws and as such are designed to cut on the pull stroke. The blade will be under tension on the cutting stroke and will not be able to bow. Let the saw do the work. Never force the blade on the push stroke as you will be pushing against the direction of the teeth. Carefully take the pressure off the blade in order to release the saw. Generally you should experience fewer vibrations and use less effort enabling longer work and improved productivity. The saw should be stored in the closed position and cleaned of any debris/dirt to ensure a smooth opening operation. Ideally the blade should be cleaned with a solvent being careful to keep it away from the handle - this will help prolong its useful life. Store away from moisture. |
