DEALER POLICY

 

STIHL Professional Hand-over Policy 

Here at Gayways we stock a huge range of STIHL products. Most of these products can be shipped out to you and are a simple click and get it delivered on our website. However STIHL have a "Safety Hand Over Policy" which applies to all official dealers and to which must be followed.

STIHL feel that the best service to customers is accomplished through face-to-face interaction. This eliminates wrong purchases and improper use as the dealer can then instruct you and answer any questions you have prior to you experimenting at home. This ensures correct and safe operation of all power tools and any dangerous equipment. Due to these risks, STIHL have blacklisted certain items from being shipped out online.

All products that cannot be shipped out from STIHL are clearly stated on our website on the product pages and the option for delivery is not allowed meaning that it must be picked up. If you are too far away from us to come and collect your machine then you may need to find your local dealer and collect it from them.

STIHL are very passionate about this policy and take it very seriously among their dealers. For this reason, we hope you can understand that there cannot be any exceptions to this.

What Products 'cannot be shipped'


All Chainsaws, Brushcutters, Hedgecutters, Cut-off Saws, Pole Pruners, Augers, Kombi Systems (Inc Attachments) are not to be delivered by Third Party, and the Policy still stands as a 'Hand-Over' by the dealer. 

The restriction is on all items with a sharp blade or dangerous attachment or any machine that has the possibility of a blade being attached to it.

What products 'can be shipped'

All Trimmers (without blade), Pressure Washers, Blowers (Vacuum inc), Chainsaw Guide Bars, and Chains, Protective Clothing (PPE), Hand Tools, and Merchandise have 'no' restriction for delivery. This will include 'ALL' Viking products also.


Promotion & Sales

Prices and Discount offers on our website are independent, and cannot be used in conjunction of other offers, vouchers, or credit. If Stihl have a promotional campaign and their offer is cheaper than what we are promoting at that time, we will honour the Stihl Promotion.

Mountfield Hand-over Policy

Here at Gayways we stock a wide range of Mountfield products. All Mountfield items on this website are subject to the ‘Mountfield Professional Hand-over Policy’ that we, as an official Mountfield dealer, must abide by.


Mountfield feel that the best service to their customers is achieved through face-to-face contact with their local Mountfield dealer. This ensures that you obtain the correct machine, with the relevant proper instruction, and that you are familiar with all the information regarding safe operation of that machine. 

This means that all Mountfield machines must be collected in store and we cannot make any exceptions for delivery unless it is through our "White Glove Service" where a member of our team will personally deliver the machine to you. (20 mile radius)

Please note: All Warranty claims for Mountfield products that have not been purchased 'through a service dealer' will be the Service Dealers discretion to accept the machine for repair on Warranty. Customers will be advised to return their product back to where they bought the product from. However if you wish to have the product repaired by the Service Dealer, you will be charged, and invoiced. You can then claim that invoice to the supplier of your machine.
